SUCCESS STORIES

TVO, A Tribute to Bill Davis Gala
Inspired Events Consulting had the pleasure of working with the team at TVO to produce a Gala dinner celebrating TVO’s visionary founder at the wonderful event, A Tribute to Bill Davis on November 6, 2013.
It was a remarkable evening honouring Mr. Bill Davis’ legacy and his outstanding contribution to Ontario, and to TVO. Mr. Davis delighted the crowd with his keen observations, bon mots and stories from his days in office. Premier Wynne, Mr. Tim Hudak and Ms. Andrea Horwath also shared tributes to Mr. Davis as they recognized his unwavering commitment to serving the province and the country.
The sold-out Gala event was a huge success. Pictures from the Gala can be found here.
TVO, Steve Paikin 20th Anniversary Celebration
The Agenda with Steve Paikin is the flagship current affairs program of TV Ontario, Ontario’s public broadcaster. Inspired Events was engaged by TVO to produce a celebratory dinner in honour of Steve Paikin’s 20th Anniversary with TVO. This remarkable event had five Ontario Premiers in attendance (including Dalton McGuinty, Bob Rae, Ernie Eves, David Peterson and Bill Davis, and a video presentation by Mike Harris), all of whom participated in a Roast of Steve Paikin. The caliber of the attendees, and the panache of the event was incomparable. The intimate event, held at Grano Restaurant in Toronto in November 2012, sold out within 36 hours and surpassed TVO’s fundraising expectations.

THREE TO BE, Stems of Hope Gala
In its first two years, THREE TO BE raised over $1,000,000 in support of research, education and therapies for children’s neurological disorders. The Stems of Hope Gala is an entertaining and informative event where the organization's supporters, donors and corporate partners come to learn about the science behind Stem Cell research, robotic therapies and conductive education while being transported inside the mind of a child through whimsical design and exceptional entertainment. Complete with raffle, silent auction and a live auction, the event has been pure magic! With performances from Barenaked Ladies, special guests like Olympic Gold Medalist Alex Bilodeau, Fashion Television’s Jeanne Beker, TSN’s Michael Landsberg, and hosted by Leslie Roberts and Anne Mrockowzski of Global News – the Gala has been THE event to be at in Toronto.
The 3rd Annual Stems of Hope Gala took place on September 29th, 2012. With the first ever Hero Awards, recognizing inspirational individuals who make a difference to the special needs community, performances by the Heroes of Hip Hop (Rob Base, Young MC, Naughty By Nature and Sugarhill Gang), and an incredible Live Auction that raised over $113,000 in 35 minutes - it was another spectacular and inspiring event. THREE TO BE raised over $500,000 (net!). Inspired Events Consulting was thrilled to join forces once again with the Organizing Committee and Co-Founders to assist in reaching their goals.
Inspired Events Consulting was thrilled to be a guest at the Fourth Annual Stems of Hope Gala that took place on October 4, 2013. Congratulations to the entire Organizing Committee.

Aaron’s Apple, Caring to the Core Gala
Aaron’s Apple, a registered Canadian charity under the auspices of Chai Lifeline Canada, was co-founded by Aaron Maresky – who is now an 11-year-old Grade 6 student – and his parents Mandy and Neil. The organization raises funds to help Canadian families without insurance pay for drugs that OHIP doesn’t cover. The charity helps families referred by Sick Kids Hospital pay for the sky-high medication costs it takes to treat auto-immune diseases. The first Caring to the Core Gala took place in Toronto in February 2012 and raised over $100,000, exceeding their goal.
Inspired Events Consulting was delighted to aid Aaron’s Apple, a brand new organization, by building a strong foundation for their Gala to grow from -- including identifying leadership volunteers, creating roles and a critical path for committee members, generating sponsorship packages and leads, and acting as advisor, mentor and coach to the Founders and Gala Chairs.
The second annual Caring to the Core Gala was held on March 2, 2013, and Inspired Events Consulting was thrilled to assist as a coach and advisor to the Gala Chair and committee leads. With over $150,000 raised that night, the Aaron's Apple team is surpassing their own expectations. As they say, Take a Bite and Change a Life.
TESTIMONIAL:
“Besides being easy to work with, Leslie is a take-charge person who is able to present creative ideas and communicate the constructive aspects very clearly and broadly. She has successfully developed several operational plans for our Charity that have resulted in enhanced visibility and exceedingly encouraging responses. While Leslie worked with us, she had a tremendously positive impact on the team that resulted in incredible collaboration and productivity." - Mandy Maresky, Co-Founder of Aarons Apple and Chair, Caring to the Core Gala

TriAdventure raising funds for the Nikibasika Development Program
In 2005, Inspired Events Consulting assembled a team of committed volunteers to begin planning a brand new three-day, three-event fundraiser called the TriAdventure (Swim, Canoe, Cycle). Inspired Events Consulting laid the groundwork for a highly successful event format. In its first two years, the Triad raised $50,000 and $76,000 for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. With each passing year, the group has increased their fundraising capacity and in 2012, the eighth year, this incredible group raised over $130,000. Now raising funds for the Nikibasika Development Program, the Triad event -- with its encompassing participants and donors, is essentially the sole benefactor of this home for vulnerable and orphaned children in Uganda.
Inspired Events Consulting is still involved with this remarkable group and has recently assisted the Nikibasika Development Program to successfully gain their own Registered Charity Status through the Canada Revenue Agency.
